Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery in Crowville, LA. Mr. Holloway was born in Crowville, LA on January 17, 1928 and passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on February 27, 2011 in Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Willie Estellie Welch Holloway; his wife of 45 years, Emma Lou Holloway; daughters, Belinda Diane and Beth Renee Holloway; son, Donnie O'Brien Holloway; two brothers and three sisters. His careers included the United States Coast Guard, Thermatomic Carbon Company of Sterlington, and Sladco Oil Company. He was a lifetime member of the Rodney J. Hobbs Post 1809 VFW of Monroe, LA. Mr. Holloway is survived by his wife of 15 years, Minnie Holloway; sons, Gene Holloway and wife, Louise of West Monroe and Willie Holloway and wife, Tonya of Sterlington; daughters, Becky Dupree and husband, Jimmy of Sterlington and Barbara King and husband, James of Sterlington; 3 sisters and 2 brothers; 19 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. The entire family would like to say a heartfelt Thank You to Dr. Paul Watson. He was more than a doctor; he was a wonderful friend and a great comfort to our entire family. We all have many wonderful memories and we will always cherish the days we were blessed to have with him. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons of Mr. Holloway. Visitation will be 12:00 Noon until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.
