BYRON JAY HOLTON

West Monroe - Funeral services for Mr. Byron Jay "Jaybird" Holton of West 
Monroe, LA will be 10:00am Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the chapel of 
Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe with Pastor Art Beebe officiating. 
Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens in West Monroe under the direction 
of Griffin Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm 
Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at the funeral home.

Mr. Holton was born March 27, 1962 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life 
on October 1, 2017 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 55. He was employed as a 
truck driver with JPS Equipment Rental in West Monroe. Jay was loved by 
many, a friend to all and never met a stranger. Most of all, he loved his 
wife, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was the best dad, "Paw" and 
uncle around.

He is preceded in death by his father, J.W. Holton.

Survivors include his wife, Ann Holton; three children, Todd Self, Scott 
Self and Gwenee Banes and husband Wayne; his mother, June Holton; his 
sister, Lori Gibson and husband, Larry; his brother, Eric Holton and wife, 
Kristi; seven grandchildren, Bethani, Logan, Nocona, Taylor, Kara, Jayde and 
Meadow; one great-grandchild, Bentley; nieces and nephews, Jeff, Julie, 
Sarah and Marilee; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and 
friends.

Pallbearers will be Nocona Self, Taylor Self, Jeff Gibson, Fred Kersh, Jamie 
Swillie, Ken Armstrong, Scott Armstrong and Craig Armstrong.
