Gloria Sharon Honeycutt, age 68 of Monroe, was born to the late Orlon James Honeycutt and Gladys Coody Honeycutt on March 9, 1948 in Bentley, Louisiana. Gloria was a member of Christian Life Church. She was a devoted nurse at E.A. Conway for 29 years. She spent five years as a secretary at Van Trow before she dedicated herself to caring for children full time. Family and friends were Gloria's love and joy. She spent her last 6 years being "GaGa" to many children that she adored and loved. Her kind spirit and loving personality will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents, Orlon James Honeycutt, Gladys Coody Honeycutt, brothers Talmadge Russell and Larry Lee Honeycutt, and nephew Donald Ray Phillips, II. Her beautiful Christian life will be remembered by her sister, Sandra Iris Phillips, and brother in law Donald Ray Phillips, nieces Desiree Hood (Gary), Laura Miller (Leighman), and Trudy Morace, numerous nieces and nephews, longtime friend (whom she considered a sister) Lorry Buck and her three children, Suzie Wilson (Trey), Jessica Buck, and Joey Buck (Whitney), and grandchildren Brodie and Mary Lyla Buck, Brooklyn Pate, Brennon and Reagan Wilson. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 29th, 2016 at 4:00 pm at Christian Life Church in Monroe, Louisiana. The funeral will follow at 5:00 pm with Danny Chance officiating.
