DORIS HOPKINS 

Cox Funeral Home Oak Grove, LA 

Funeral services for Doris Hopkins, age 90, of Oak Grove, La. will be 2:00 PM, 
Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Beulah Baptist Church, near Oak Grove, with 
Rev. Kenny Herring and Rev. Jimmie Herring officiating. Interment will be in 
the Beulah Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of 
Oak Grove. Doris was born September 1, 1917 in Natchitoches, LA and went to be 
with the Lord on January 3, 2008 in Monroe, LA. Visitation will be Saturday at 
the Beulah Baptist Church with a Celebration of Home Going Service at 6:00 PM. 
She is preceded in death by her husband: James L. Hopkins; daughter and son-in-
law: Charlotte and Bob Karstendiek; father: Elee Trichel; mother: Emma Trichel 
Robian; grandson: Kenny Joles. Doris is survived by her children: Ola Marie 
Joles and husband Eldon of Oak Grove, LA, Marvin Hopkins and wife Lois Marie 
of Oak Grove, LA, Nadine Spruell and husband Shelby of Baton Rouge, LA, 
LaShara Arender and husband Billy Ray of Tallulah, LA, Cathy Hopkins of West 
Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be the Grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be 
the Great Grandchildren.
