Wonderful daughter, sister, wife, mother, auntie, grandmother and gr'grandmother, she lived her life to the fullest. Olivia was preceded in death by her parents, Durrell and Alice Sones McGuffee, parent-in laws, Dio and Myrtie Lambert Horn, sister, Sarah Jacobson, brother, Cecil McGuffee, daughter, Louise Moore and son-in law, Paul Moore. Her niece and nephew, Lisa Jacobson and Darren Jacobson. She is survived by 2 sisters, Elsie Porter and Delcie Brown, 2 brothers, Merwyn McGuffee and wife MaryAnn, Mike McGuffee and wife Yvonne, numerous nieces and nephews, her nephews she took in as sons, Gary Jacobson and wife Sue, Denis Jacobson and wife, Jan and their families, her grandchildren, Terry Moore Durham and husband, Ken, Greg Moore and wife, Jeni, and Daryl Moore and wife, Vickie, her great grandchildren, Roxie Durham, Chris Moore, Brittni Moore, Tiffani Moore, Emma Moore and Abby Moore, and a host of dear family and friends. Olivia spent most of her life working alongside her husband, in the Sandy Bayou Community. She was a member of Sandy Bayou Baptist Church, later moving her membership to New Ouachita Baptist Church-Enterprise, LA, before moving to Texas, where she attended Richey Street Baptist Church and was presently attending First Baptist of North Channel. Olivia worked hard in the fields, in the kitchen and growing her garden. She loved sharing the fruits of her labor. And she loved working puzzles, playing games and being with family and friends. She loved life and she loved the Lord. The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to all the friends that tended to her over the last few months. Funeral services will be at Riser Funeral Home in Columbia, LA, with burial following at Lowe's Cemetery in Kelly. Service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, January 24, 2011, with Bro. Kent Nugent officiating. Visitation will be Sunday evening, January 23, 2011, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
