Andy Johnson officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Paul Ray was born December 30, 1964, and passed away November 20, 2008 from complications of a lengthy illness. When he was not on construction projects, he loved to play golf, disc golf, or go fishing. Paul Ray was a loving son, father, grandson, nephew, and friend that will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his beloved grandfather, Sidney (PaPa Dick) Hodge, Sr.; aunt, Sandra Kay Hodge Anderson; father, Bob Aubrey Howard; and step father, Ray Murray. Survivors include his mother, Elaine Hodge Murray; daughter, Megan Rochelle Howard; grandmother, Nettie Hodge; two special aunts, Mancy Howard and husband, Jim, and Nancy Fury and husband, Frank; uncle, Sidney (Dickie) Hodge, Jr. and wife, Cheryl; aunts, Brenda Hodge and Barbara Dawson; mother of his daughter and best friend, Glenda Howard Holloway; numerous cousins; a host of friends; and his beloved cat and buddy, Oscar. Pallbearers will be Shannon Pardue, Jonathan Pardue, Jake Bagbey, Perry Green, Terry Fisher, and Raymond Little. Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Simone, Dennis Ludwig, and A. C. Hewitt. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Jake Owen Raborn Foundation. The family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude for Dr. Ron Hammett, Dr. Donna Donald, Dr. Thomas Causey, and the staff of Glenwood's ICU/CCU for the care and concern given to Paul Ray and his family during this most difficult time.
