Ruth was born on September 29, 1922 and passed from this life to her eternal reward on July 9, 2014 in Delta, Colorado. She was preceded in death by husbands Ted Walker and George Huddleston, son, Raleigh Walker, grandson, DeJay Sawyer and great grandson Stephen Head, brothers; John Ward, Berkley Ward, Howard Chamness, Raymond Chamness, Glen Chamness and sister Estelle McGee. She was survived by daughters Ruby Cavaness of Calhoun, Jarvis Campbell and husband Roy of Delta, Colorado, Iva Sawyer and husband Ralph of Savannah, Tennessee, Georgia Sanderson and husband Mike of Eros, sons Carroll Walker and wife Sue of Butte, Montana, Leonard Walker and wife Judy of Eros and daughter- in-love Jeri Savell and husband Pete of Minden, 21 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. She was also survived by brothers C.W. Ward and Rodney Ward along with sister Linda Johnston all of New Mexico and sister-in-law Ovella Huddleston of Texas. Momma loved God, her family and whomever her family loved. She was faithful to the church, and worked wherever needed. Her hospitality was known to all who had the privilege to visit her at home. She enjoyed gardening and sharing the fruits of her labor, and was quick with a smile, a laugh, a hug, or an encouraging word. Although she faced many of her own obstacles, she was always quick to help others. She touched many lives, and memories of her will live on in generations to come. Most super heroes come dressed in spandex, but our hero wore dresses. And even though she wasn't able to leap a tall building in a single bound there was never a mountain she wasn't able to climb. She left a us heritage filled with faith, prayer, love and shoes that no one will ever be able to fill. We have been blessed to call her Momma, Grandma, Great-Grandma and friend.
