Jeff Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Hughes was born 4-24-1922 in Swartz, LA and had resided in Ouachita Parish all of her life. She is the last survivor of seven children of the union of Annie Belle Yarbrough and Eddie Rhodes. She is preceded in death by 1st husband William C. Leonard, 2nd husband V. Linton Hughes and son Billy Ray Leonard, 6 brothers, 1 sister and half-brother. Survivors are Grandchildren: Rogers Leonard and wife, Thoy of Baton Rouge, Lisa Kitto Kitto and husband, Bill of Baton Rouge, Marie Brown of Monroe; Great Grandchildren: Brandon Brown and wife Nancy of Monroe, Lenzy Crockett and husband Kyle of Monroe, Daniel Leonard and wife Lana of Slidell, Katelyn Grammes Grammes and husband, Nathan of Memphis, Parrish Kitto, William Kitto, and Christian Kitto of Baton Rouge; Great-Great grandchildren: Luke Peterman, Ava, Ellie, and Luke Owen; Sister-in-Law, Jeanette Russell; Nieces, Barbara Ann Be Beebe, Connie Sue Bohannon; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and ne nephews. She loved them all and was the "rock of the family." Mable was a member of the First Baptist Church of West Monroe, LA. She did legal work for 15 years, a Realtor since 1972 and retired in 2009. She was the owner of Zip Realty and was a member of the NELA Board of Realtors, Former State and Local President of Women's Council of Realtors. She served 12 years as Executive Office of the Home Builders Association of Northeast LA. Mable was Charter Member of the American Business Women's Assoc., Tupawek Chapter, and Former Member of the Annie D. Bennett-No 181 OES of West Monroe, LA. She held a memb membership in the America Society of Notaries, Washington, D.C. and was also appo appointed by Governor Edwards to the LA Priorities for the Future Crime and Task Task Force. Mrs. Hughes had a great love for sports, softball, bowling, boating, skiing, fi fishing and especially the beach. Pallbearers are Henry Rogillio, Tim Peacock, Buster Brown, Tommy Rhodes, Jr., John Rhodes and Tim Porter. Honorary Pallbearers: Tommy Rhodes, Sr., Kent Orell Orell, Rodney Orell, and Timothy Rhodes.
