JAMES "JIMMIE" FRANCIS HUMPHRIES

James "Jimmie" Francis Humphries, 82 of Jena, Louisiana was received into Heaven 
on Wednesday, January 1, 2014.He was born Saturday, September 5, 1931 in Jena, 
Louisiana, to the union of Marbury Frey Humphries and Bertha Mae (Francis) 
Humphries. He was the owner of Humphries Motors of Jena for 44 years. Mr. 
Humphries was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 56 years, Patricia 
Nell (Jones) Humphries and his sister, Patsy Humphries.Those left to love and 
miss him are his two sons, Gregg Humphries & wife Emma of Jena, and Ricky 
Humphries & wife Brenda of Jena: a daughter, Tess (Humphries) Champagne & 
husband Timothy of Houma; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren.The 
family will receive friends at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena, from 
4:00PM - 8:00PM on Friday, January 3, 2014. Services will be at 10:00AM on 
Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Jena First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dominick 
DiCarlo and Rev. Glen Roark officiating. Mr. Humphries will be laid to rest in 
the Nolley Memorial Cemetery, Jena, Louisiana.Honored to serve as pallbearers, 
Gary "G.C." Cooper, Glen Roark, Ken Roark, Glen Ganey, Harold Windham, and Kevin 
Windham. Honorary pallbearers, Sammy Franklin, Jim Peters, Larry Holley, Murphy 
McMillin, Wendall Wilson and Maxine Wilson. Condolences to the family may be
