LEONARD W. HUTCHINSON, SR.

Kilpatrick Funeral Home

West Monroe, LA

Funeral services for Mr. Leonard W. Hutchinson, Sr. 93, of Calhoun, LA, will 
be Tuesday, September 16th, 2008, at 2:00PM in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick 
Funeral Home with Rev. Werner Aswell, Rev. Neil Everett, and Rev. Dub Massey 
officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the 
direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Mr. Hutchinson was born September 3rd, 1915, in Bayou Barbary, LA, a son of 
the late John and Eva Edler Hutchinson. He passed away on Saturday, September 
13th, 2008, in Calhoun, LA.

He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Julia Hutchinson, a special uncle, 
T.J. Edler, son-in-law, Jim White, and brothers, Tony Sance, Ray Sance, and 
Frank Sance.

A longtime member and Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church of 
Calhoun, he served proudly with the US Navy during World War II, and he 
retired after 43 years of dedicated service as a toll test board technician 
with Bell South. Mr. Hutchinson was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Survivors include his beloved wife of over 57 years, Jo Linda Green 
Hutchinson; son, Leonard William "Bill" Hutchinson, Jr. and wife, Lynn; 2 
daughters, Jan Moore and husband, James, and Roseanne Hutchinson; and son, 
Johnny Hutchinson and wife, Carolyn; grand children, Melinda, Claire, and 
Spencer Hutchinson, Rosalie Harris and husband, Micah, Jim Hayes, Richard 
Moore and wife, Pattie, Rebecca Moore, Mark Hutchinson and wife, Stacey, and 
Glenn Hutchinson and wife, Amy; 3 great grandchildren, Savannah Harris and 
Jacob and Anna Hutchinson; brother, Lloyd Sance and wife, Ruby; and a number 
of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Louisiana Baptist 
Children's Home, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice.

The family wishes to express their thanks to Susan Lenard, Shannon Lenard, and 
Sharon Hudson and to the employees of Angel Care of Louisiana for their 
special care. Also, thanks to our friends and neighbors on Richardson Road who 
went above and beyond in their acts of kindness during this time.

Active pallbearers are Richard Moore, Jim Hayes, Spencer Hutchinson, Kenneth 
Bryan, Jimmy Holton, James Diel, Terry Boone and Kenneth Reynolds.

Honorary pallbearers are members of the Faith Sunday School Class at First 
Baptist Church of Calhoun.

The family will receive friends on Monday evening from 5:00P.M. to 8:00 P.M. 
at the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
