Jerry Keene officiating. Interment will follow at Luna Methodist Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Monday, December 5, 2016 at the funeral home. Ms. Hutson was born October 13, 1954 in Monroe, LA and passed from this life after a lengthy illness on December 1, 2016 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 62. She was a former Sunday school teacher and worked at Dillard's Department Store as the Bridal Consultant for almost 30 years. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and her cat, Jack. Dot also loved her mom, who was her best friend, with all of her heart. She was the sweetest and kindest woman who always had a smile for everyone and was loved by all who met her. She is preceded in death by her father, James Robert Hutson and three nieces, Jamie Freeman, Janie Freeman and Crystal Allen. Survivors include her mother, Ida Lee Huston of West Monroe; two sisters, Lottie Ainsworth and Linda Gail Allen, both of West Monroe; one nephew, James Freeman, Jr.; two nieces, Cindy Allen and Vicky Allen; one great- nephew, Hunter Freeman; and a host of extended family and friends. Pallbearers will be Mike McKenzie, Bruce Soignier, Nathan Keene, David Bromley, Jeremy Shackleford and Paul Stephens. Many thanks to Dr. Wineburger and his staff for taking care of her through her treatments, and a special thanks to Cornerstone Hospital staff, and especially Dr. Ron Hammett. Your loving care for Dot was overwhelming and will always be remembered.
