Joseph Puthuppally and Msgr. Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Inzina passed away Friday, February 13, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center, after a brief illness. He retired as Chief of Communications with the Monroe Fire Department after 43 years of service. He was a graduate of Neville High School, where he played ball. He received his B. S. degree in Fire Science at LSU. He was also a licensed emergency medical technician. Mike was an avid sportsman who loved hunting and fishing. He was a devoted husband, father, and brother. Mr. Inzina was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Scimbra Inzina, originally from Palermo, Italy; brothers, Philip, Sam, Nick, Joe, Jr., Carl, and Tony Inzina; and sisters, Josephine Inzina Lisotta, Mary Inzina Day, and Anne Inzina. Survivors include his wife of fifty-eight years, Mary Jo Inzina; daughter, Mimi Inzina; one brother, John Inzina and wife Rose; two sisters, Loretta Inzina, and Madeline Inzina; sister-in-law, Norma "Jeanie" Wingate; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; special niece, Rose Mary Lisotta; and special nephew, Luke Lisotta. Pallbearers will be Judge Jim Dimos, Jarvis Renfrow, Monte McGough, Joey Feltri, Joe Day, and Pete Embanato. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Monroe Fire Department. Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2009, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church Community Center.
