Laura was born to Steve and Jennie Leone on August 3, 1935 in Natchitoches, La. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy in Natchitoches, La. in 1953. Laura was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Monroe, La. She also belonged to the Monroe Garden Club; several Bridge Groups and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority where she was crowned Valentine Queen in 1968. Laura was a talented cook and it gave her great joy to prepare gourmet meals for her family and friends. She was honored for her cooking skills by the NewsStar as "Cook of the Month" in April 1983. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed. She is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Tony Jabbia; daughters, Jo Lynn Prichard Ragus and husband John; Janet Jabbia all of Monroe; her sons Charles Jabbia and wife Elaine; Vince Jabbia and wife Kate, all of Beaumont, Texas; grandchildren, Jenny Prichard, Amy Jabbia, Allison Collins all of Monroe; Lauren Williams, Spencer Jabbia, Vincent Jabbia, Kathleen Jabbia, Bridget Mueller all of Beaumont, Texas; great granddaughters, Elly Elizabeth Collins of Monroe; Tinsley Violet Williams of Beaumont, Texas; brothers Tony Leone and Joe Leone; sisters Lorenza Leone Fair and Mamie Leone Jabbia; and several nieces and nephews. Laura is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Sam Leone, John Leone, Dominick Leone, and sister, Rosie Mondello; and her grandson Michael Prichard. Pallbearers will be Peter Jabbia, Tony Leone, Spencer Jabbia, John Ragus, Mike Venable, Cash Williams and Derek Collins. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 with a Vigil Wake Service at 6:00 pm at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with Rev. James Dominic officiating.
