Interment will follow at St. Matthews Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel, Sterlington Road, Monroe, Louisiana. A Vigil Wake will begin at 5:30 PM. Mrs. Jabour passed away Saturday, November 1, 2014. Mrs. Jabour was born on April 18, 1945, to Wadie Zacca and Angele Shoucair Zacca in Kingston, Jamaica. She was a graduate of Wolmers Girls School in Kingston and Bryant College in Providence, Rhode Island. Upon graduating, she worked at numerous law and engineering firms in Providence, Rhode Island; Houston, Texas; Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Monroe, Louisiana. After marrying Ned Jabour, they embarked on a journey where Denise's self- sacrifice and unselfish devotion propelled Ned into obtaining his Doctorate of Psychology. Eventually she would become a business owner of Neville House Antiques and Gifts. Her quiet gentleness and pureness of heart attracted the attention of those from all walks of life. Mrs. Jabour was preceded in death by her parents, Wadie Zacca and Angele Shoucair Zacca, brother, Amil Zacca and sister, Pauline Ferris. Survivors include her husband, Dr. Ned Michael Jabour of Monroe; son, N. Michael Jabour of Dallas; brother, Honorable Edward Zacca and wife Hope; sisters, Marcella Elias of Monroe, and Lilly Jamiel of Rhode Island; and nephews, Chad Elias and Dr. David Elias; and numerous other family members. Pallbearers will be Paul Abide, Phil Mansour, Jimmy Mansour, Chad Elias, David Elias and Charles Elias.
