JOHN R. JACKSON

Funeral Services for John R. Jackson, 70, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 
3:30PM Monday, January 20, 2014 at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church, West Monroe 
with Rev. Charles Dupree officiating. Interment will follow in the church 
cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Mr. Jackson was born on July 23, 1943 in Monroe, LA and passed away suddenly 
on January 17, 2014 in West Monroe, LA. He was retired from Graphic Packaging 
after 40 years. Mr. Jackson was a member of the New Chapel Hill Baptist 
Church, J.C. Stewart Masonic Lodge 419, and a veteran of the United States 
Marine Corp. He was a member of the Rebel Lunch Bunch. He was an avid 
outdoorsman who loved to fish, hunt, and play golf. Johnny's true love in life 
was his wife of 49 years, his children and his grandchildren.

Mr. Jackson is survived by his wife, Floyce Jackson; daughter, Shawn Hoffman; 
son, Lance Jackson and wife Kim; grandchildren, Annah and Grace Hoffman, and 
Ashley and Sara Jackson; sister, Linda Bryant; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Barry White, Lonnie Shows, Bobby Lemoine, Larry Pittard, 
Dickie Jackson, Robert Cook, Joe Mitchell, and Les Bryant. Honorary 
Pallbearers will be the Irving Sills Sunday School Class.

Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday, January 19, 2014 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.

Memorials may be made to the Ouachita Parish Humane Society.
