MARTHA ELIZABETH HARRIS JACKSON

Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Harris Jackson passed away after a lengthy illness on 
October 8, 2016 at her home in Monroe, LA. Graveside services for Mrs. 
Jackson will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Hasley 
Cemetery, West Monroe under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 
Monroe. Rev. Lonnie Stewart will officiate. Visitation will from 5:00 P.M. 
until 7:00 P.M., Monday, October 10, 2016 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, 
Monroe.

Mrs. Jackson was born August 22, 1941 in San Antonio, TX. She is an alumni 
of University of Louisiana at Monroe, formerly Northeast LA State College, 
and retired 10 years ago after 25 years of service as a school teacher for 
Monroe City Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church, West Monroe 
for 63 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Vivian 
Harris.

Mrs. Jackson is survived by her husband of 58 years, Howard F. Jackson; 
daughter, Dianne Jackson McIntosh and husband, Phillip of Ridgeland, MS; 
granddaughter, JoBeth McIntosh; brother, William A. Harris of Monroe; 
sister, Carolyn Jo Lipsey and husband, Fred of Shreveport, LA; numerous 
nieces and nephews.
