William L. Smith officiating. Interment to follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA. Margaret was born in Marion, Louisiana to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse C. Tucker on March 20, 1925. She was the oldest of nine children and was preceded in death by her parents and six of her brothers, J.C., Terry, Wade, Claude, Charlie and Joe, as well as a special cousin Janice Robinson. Margaret passed from this life on earth to a new life with her heavenly father on Monday, October12, 2009. Margaret was retired from South Central Bell Telephone where she went to work at the age of 17. She was a very dedicated employee and stayed active in the Monroe Telco Federal Credit Union until she became ill. She was a Member of The Eastern Star and the First Baptist Church of West Monroe. She spent her last years in the Oaks Nursing Home and loved the bingo games. Margaret married John C. Jackson on August 19, 1994 at Lakeshore Baptist Church. She was 69 years old but still a very happy and excited new bride. Mr. John showed her great love and changed her life. Holidays were always special to her as she was surrounded by her, "grandchildren" at Barney & Lauretta's home. She and Mr. John especially loved the Easter egg hunts and we will always cherish the love they showed each of us on special occasions and Sunday dinners. Margaret is survived by her husband John C. Jackson, her sister Shirley Jackson and her beloved brother Barney M. Tucker and his wife Lauretta. Pallbearers are Buddy Cork, Vernon Flemister, Gene Ford, Kyle Hairston, John Jackson Jr., and Ray Pierce. Visitation is Wednesday, October 13, 2009 from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
