DONALD F. JARRELL JR.

Bagnell & Son Funeral Home - Covington, LA.

Donald F. Jarrell Jr. a retired special education teacher and fitness 
instructor died after a fight with "Lou Gerig's disease at his home Tuesday, 
June 28, 2005.
He was 42 years old. Donnie a life long resident of Covington attended 
Covington High and Southeastern Louisiana University where he earned his 
Masters in Education.
Donnie was also an active triathlete and Iron Man competitor. He worked as a 
fitness trainer and swim coach at Franco's for the past twenty years.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife Tonya Johnson Jarrell and his four-year-
old daughter Logan Alana.
Preceded in death by his father Donald F. Jarrell Sr., Step father Alfred Gitz 
Sr. Grandparents Ruby and Jerry Jarrell, Vera Louise Wilson and Henry James 
Stafford Jr. Other survivors include, his mother: Vernie Gitz, Step-mother 
Edith Jarrell, brothers: Kevin Jarrell, Alfred Gitz Jr., Brian Gitz, sisters: 
Vicki Jarrell and Terena Shaw.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 11:00 AM at The 
Church of the King, 22205 Little Creek Rd, Mandeville, LA. Reception following 
at The Maritime Museum in Mandeville.
In Lieu of flowers donations made to The Donnie Jarrell Foundation and Hospice 
of St Tammany. Bagnell & Son Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
