Visitation will begin at 12:00 P.M. until service time. Officiating will be Pastor Warren Eckhardt and Pastor Donald Reeves. Interment will follow at Liberty Cemetery in Linville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Farmerville. Bobby was born on April 30, 1945, in Monroe, LA, raised in Spencer, LA and passed away from this life in Linville, LA on January 31, 2019, at the age of 73. He graduated from Linville High School and received two degrees from Northeast Louisiana University. He was also a veteran of the United States Army. He was an active member of White's Ferry Road Church of Christ. Bobby wore many hats in his adult life. He was a teacher, entrepreneur, businessman, investor, and forestry consultant. But his proudest roles were those of a loving husband, father, and grandfather. It gave him no greater joy than to grandly dote on his family, while at the same time humbly reminding them to count their blessings. Bobby was a "rare treasure" who touched the lives of so many. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, generous spirit, and compassionate heart. His twinkling eyes never met a stranger, and he was stopped by people he knew wherever he went. To quote a good friend, "I've never known a man who was so universally well-loved." Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Cheryl Thomas Jenny; mother- in-law, Maxine Thomas; daughters, Lori Jenny Edgar and her husband, Dan, Ashley Jenny Post and her husband, Brad; eight precious grandchildren who adored him: Peyton Edgar (his mini-me), Darcy Edgar, Julianne Post, Audra Post, Vivian Post, Naomi Post, Braden Post, and Mercy Post. He also had two business partners, Mark Preaus and Joe Jacobs, who were like family to him, as well as a dear cousin, Tommy Head. Memorials may be considered in Bobby's memory to Pilots for Patients, Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, Ouachita Christian School, or to the donor's choice. Honoring Bobby as pallbearers will be Joe Jacobs, Mark Preaus, Glen Post III, Tommy Head, Justin Hodge, Joe Preaus, Lee Brantley and Tom Snell.
