Larry Ferris and Rev. Todd Perry officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Pallbearers will be Roger Crawley, Jack Miller, David Roark, Jerry Roark, Roy Smith, and Steve Wilson. Mrs. Johnson passed away on July 15, 2008 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home in West Monroe, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Everette A. Johnson; parents, Eunice Crews Millis Henderson and Roy Millis; and sisters, Margery Bearden and Marian Malone. Survivors include her daughter, Ashley Pridgen and husband Carson; son, Noel Johnson and wife Tammy; grandchildren: Greg Pridgen and wife Janet Marie, Gretchen Pridgen, Haley Martin and husband Darrell, Kacey Eppinette and husband Chad; great-grandchildren: Justice and Jake Pridgen, Isabelle Martin, Leighton Eppinette; and many other beloved family members. Mrs. Johnson was known as "Mussie" to her family and friends. She worked with her husband in the pastorate of the West Monroe First Church of the Nazarene for 27 years and held the office of Missions Secretary for the LA district for many years. Later in life, she was a member of the Nazarene Church in Monroe where she served as a Sunday School teacher. During her husband's lengthy illness and until his death, she selflessly cared for him in their home. Mussie lived her life in service to God and others. The family expresses deep gratitude to Ridgecrest Nursing Home, Hospice Care of Louisiana, Avalon Place, and Best Home Health for their care and kindness. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society. Visitation will be Thursday 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.
