L.E JOHNSON

L. E. Johnson, 83, of Denham Springs, LA, passed away Monday, Oct. 22, 2012 at 
Harvest Manor Nursing Home. He was a native of Forest, LA.

He served and defended our country in the Marine Corps during the Korean War. 
L.E. also served his community as a Scout Master of the Boy Scouts for 35 
years with Troop 83. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-
grandfather and brother. His family and friends will miss him dearly.

Visitation will be at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Thursday, Oct. 
25, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday, Oct. 26, 
from 11:00 a.m. until service at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Tommy 
Higginbottom. Burial will be at Beech Ridge Cemetery, Denham Springs, LA.

Survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marlis Myrick Johnson; daughter, 
Peggy Johnson Lang; sons, Larry and Jerry Johnson; grandchildren, Rachelle 
Bales, Blake Johnson, Josh Lang, Ben Johnson, Shawn Lang, Brooke Johnson, 
Ciara Johnson and Christopher Lang;

5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Johnson and Johnnie Rollinson; and 
brother, Edwin Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents, L.E. 

"Buck" Johnson and Glenda Valentine Johnson; sister, Maedine Chappell; and 
brother, Wayne Johnson. Pallbearers will be Larry, Jerry, Ben, Edwin and Gary 
Johnson, and Josh Lang.

Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Johnson, Shawn and Christopher Lane.
