Rev. Fred Hale will officiate. Interment will follow in the Epps Cemetery in Epps, LA. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. Mr. Johnson retired after 50 years of working as a dragline operator and superintendent for many construction companies in many states. He retired from Pickett Industries in Bossier City, LA. Mr. Johnson passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center. He is preceded in death by his father, Claude Huey Johnson; mother, Mattie Lee Johnson and a brother, Joe Douglas Johnson. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Doris Christine "Chris" Johnson of Pioneer, LA; son, Mark Johnson of Epps, LA; son, Bruce Johnson and wife Lori of Chatham, LA; son, Tim Johnson and wife Dedra of Pioneer, LA; daughter, Kim Corley and husband Keith of Delhi, LA; brother, Wendell Johnson and wife Jeanie of Cleveland, TN; brother Donald Johnson and wife Brenda of Epps, LA; sister, Mary Ann Jones and husband Eugene of Woodlawn, AR; grandaughter Chelsea Johnson; grandson, Josh Johnson; grandson, Johnon Lingefelt and wife Hillary; grandson, Eric Corley; granddaughter, Tiffany Johnson; grandson, Caleb Corley; great grandchild, Brayleigh Lingefelt and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Pallbearers will be Josh Johnson, Brian Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Stephen Jones, Frederick Johnson, Jesse Johnson, and Doug Featherstone. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harvey Black, Clyde Corley, Prentis Hemphill and Leonard Rhymes. Family will receive friends Thursday from 5PM until 9PM at Cox Funeral Home in Oak Grove.
