J.E. Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Johnson joined her beloved husband, Carl Johnson in their Lord's heavenly home on January 8, 2010. Mrs. Johnson was born on April 18, 1934 in Longview, TX to the late Mr. Arthur Colman Breckenridge of Beechnut Grove, AR and Mrs. Thelma Kirby Breckenridge of Wheelin Springs, AR. She was a member of the 1952 graduating class of Neville High School and a graduate of Stephen's College in Columbia, MO. She was a member of the Note Bené Club, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, City of Monroe Beautification Board, Monroe Garden Club and the Sterlington Home Makers. She was a past partner in Breck Construction, Slagle Johnson Lumber Company, and Bayou Roofing Company. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl David Johnson; and her brother, Arthur Coleman "Breck" Breckenridge. Survivors include her son, Steven K. Johnson and wife Margaret of Monroe, LA; nephew, Douglas Breckenridge of Monroe, LA; niece, Pamela Buselli of Amhearst, NH; grandsons, William Ecklund and wife Brandi of Monroe, LA and Ronald Ecklund of Key West, FL; brothers-in-law, Arthur B. Johnson and wife Mary and Edward G. Johnson and wife Tommy Sue, all of Monroe, LA; sister-in-law, Helen Knebel of Victoria, TX; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Sophie Ecklund; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be the deacons of First Baptist Church of Sterlington. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, January 11, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Sterlington.
