Jimmy was born May 20, 1935 in Monroe, LA and passed away September 13, 2012 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by parents, Clarence B and Vera Mae Fletcher Johnston. Jimmy was a loyal and celebrated employee of Graphic Packaging Paper Company for 58 years and a lifelong member of Local #364 United Steel Workers Union. He loved being a papermaker and took great pride in every facet of his job. As a boy he developed a love for raising livestock and a keen sense of animal husbandry from his dad Clarence. Together they raised cattle, hogs, horses and in later years Jimmy raised donkeys, zebras, and Llama. Jimmy's Z-Bar Ranch in Chatham, LA was known far and wide for the expert breeding and sales of the hybrid "ZeeDonk" Breed, crossbreeding a zebra with a donkey.
