Herby Hitt officiating under the direction of Gill First National Funeral Home. Mr. Jones was born February 22, 1938 in Fort Necessity to Grady and Emma Lee Stephens Jones and passed from this life on April 11, 2014 at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was a member of Fort Necessity Baptist Church; he graduated from Fort Necessity High School. Mr. Jones was a longtime farmer and grocery store manager. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Aubrey, Grady, and Joe Lee Jones; and one sister Nell Bigalow. Survivors include his wife of 55 years Gracie Nan Brownell Jones of Winnsboro; daughter Terry Nan Jones of San Francisco ; three grandchildren Brandon Lee McMurry, Natalie Nan McMurry and Rachael Daire Lively and husband Ben all of Winnsboro; ten great-grandchildren Ty McMurry, Bryce McMurry, Gabbie McMurry, Zander Reed, Blaine Lambert, Kase Lively, Cody Lively Cade Jones, Jaxon McMurry and Ashlyn McMurry; two brothers Jimmy Jones, Odean Jones and wife Peggy; sister Dottie Cartwright and husband Bill all of Monroe; two sister-in- laws Joy Jones of West Monroe and Elaine Jones of Monroe a host of other relatives and friends. Serving as pallbearers were grandsons and Danny Lively. Honorary pallbearers will be Ben Lively and Brandon McMurry.
