NETTIE LEE JONES

Nettie was born on January 24, 1926 to a large working family of 14 siblings. 
She married "Dutch" Jones on April 8, 1950 and they began their life together 
as farmers on the Ouachita River. Nettie loved her family, especially her 
grandchildren. Her passion was her home, yard, and the farm. She adorned her 
home with one of her hobbies, beautiful china paintings. Her yard was filled 
with another love of hers, flowering plants, roses, day lilies, and her prized 
camellias. She had around 80 camellias and could name the variety of each. She 
loved to work in her yard and ride her mower around the place looking at her 
plants. She tried to instill this love in her grandchildren by giving them a 
"spoon" to dig in the yard. This passion extended to the farm. She loved 
driving through the fields and sown along the river bank to the lake where she 
had a special place. Nettie always welcomed visitors with a smile and a pot of 
coffee. Through all her activities and passion for outdoors, she carried a love 
for Jesus in her heart. Nettie is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, 
"Dutch" Jones; granddaughter, Mary Jones; 5 brothers; and 6 sisters.

Survivors include her children, Wiley Jones and wife Karen, Wendell Jones and 
wife Dianne, Cynthia Osborne and husband Gary, Allison "Casey" Coleman and 
husband Michael; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Reca Jones; 
brothers, Johnny and Roland Bamburg; and a host of other family members and 
friends.

Pallbearers will be grandsons and grandsons-in-laws: Gary Osborne, Jr., Jeffery 
Osborne, Dusty Jones, David Coleman, Andrew Coleman, Heath Osbon, and Sean 
Chenoweth. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Jones and Kevin Jones.

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Nettie Lee Jones, 89, of West Monroe, 
LA will be held at 1:00PM Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at Watson Baptist Church, 
West Monroe, LA with Bro. Bob Holloway and Gary Osborne, Jr. officiating. 
Interment will follow in Rutledge Cemetery, West Monroe. Visitation will be 
held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Watson Baptist 
Church.

A special thanks to the ladies of StoneyBrook for their care given to her, 
Stacie King and Rita Peterson her caring sitters. No words can express our 
appreciation to the Watson Baptist Church family for their love, support, and 
prayers.
