DOROTHY A. JONES

Graveside services for Mrs. Dorothy A. Jones will be at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, 
February 22, 2015 at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Larry Hibbard will 
officiate. Interment will follow service.

Dot was born February 24, 1925 in Silver City, NM and passed away February 19, 
2015 in West Monroe. She graduated from Southwestern LA Institute with a 
degree in Home Economics and worked at LP&L while her husband, Jasper went to 
Law School. After he finished Law School, he insisted that Dot be a housewife. 
She was a great cook who was always preparing something special for family and 
friends. She was a member of McGuire Methodist Church in West Monroe. She is 
preceded in death by her husband, Judge Jasper Jones and her parents, Jim and 
Hilda Allen.

Dot is survived by her children, Judy Cummings and husband Donnie, Jasper E. 
Jones III (Chip) and wife Judy, Lea Waldroup and husband Tony; grandchildren, 
Ben Patterson, Beth Chipmon and husband Derek, Nicholas Jones and wife June; 
great-grandchild, Caroline Jones; step-grandchildren, Wimberly Mills and 
husband Bobby, Wendy Waldroup; sisters, Mary Takewell, Roselee Emerson, 
Barbara Jamerson; brother, Bill Allen.

The family extends a thank you to the staff of Rosemont Assisted Living and 
Louisiana Hospice.
