Interment will be in the Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jones, a retired owner of 41 years for Premier Products and member of First United Pentecostal Church, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Saint Francis Specialty Hospital in Monroe. He was known as a hard worker, who enjoyed hunting and collecting firearms among many other things. He is survived by his three daughters, Sharon Ardizzone and husband Tony of Calhoun, LA, Monica Jones of Sterlington, LA, Nicole Jones of Sterlington, LA; three sisters, Bessie Freeman of Bastrop, LA, Sylvia Coleman of Baton Rouge, LA, Helen Wren and husband Tommy of Monroe, LA; three brothers, Jimmy Ray Jones of Oak Ridge, LA, T.L. Jones of West Monroe, LA, Dewey Jones of Bastrop, LA; three grandchildren, Melissa Darnielle and husband Dan, Jennifer Prine and husband Chris, Matthew Jones; four great grandchildren, Ethan Prine, Ellery Prine, Carmine Darnielle, Enzo Darnielle; special sister in law, Mandy Jones of Bastrop, LA, and special friend, Mike Parker and wife Lisa and their daughter Malanie Mayberry, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Corean Nolan Jones; sister, Dorthea Engberg, and brothers, Martin Luther Jones and Walter Lavelle Jones. Serving as pallbearers will be: Tony Graves, Jamie Temple, Chris "Bull" Ibanov, Gary Cumpton, John Nicholson and Frank Wood. Honorary pallbearers are: Mike Parker, Joey Meggs, Clint Gabbhartt and Charles Meggs. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Quartez Downs and Mandy Jones for the special love and care that was given to James during his illness.
