WILMA ERNESTINE JONES

Celebration of Life for Ms. Wilma Ernestine Jones, 83, of West Monroe, LA, will 
be 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in 
West Monroe, with Rev. Danny Eddy and Rev. Danny McIlveene officiating. 
Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe.

Ms. Jones was born October 29, 1932 and passed from this life on June 17, 2016. 
She was a member of Franklin Street Baptist Church in Farmerville for over 20 
years and Community Baptist Church in West Monroe for the past 10 years. Ms. 
Jones enjoyed quilting, reading, teaching Sunday school and vacation bible 
school. She loved spending time with her family and serving the Lord and 
others. Ms. Jones is preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Jones; parents, 
Eldred and Florence Gilbert Berry; sister, Elaine Whitlock; and brother, Arnold 
Berry.

She leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Phil Jones (Pam), Les Hodge 
(Phil), Alicia Rodgers (Mickey); six grandchildren, Greg Hicks, Sarah Jones, 
Chris Hodge, Keshia Hodge, Bryce Rodgers, and Brooke Rodgers; three great-
grandchildren, Addison Hicks, Peyton Hicks, and Aubrey Claire Jerry; sister, 
Helen Burgess; brother, Jim Berry; as well a host of nieces, nephews, cousins 
and a special friend, Susie Hancock.

Pallbearers will be Greg Hicks, Chris Hodge, Bryce Rodgers, Casey Sewell, Sean 
Sewell, and Scott Taylor.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of 
Cornerstone Hospital, Dr. Don Hammett, Flesa James and Henrietta Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Franklin Street Baptist Church in 
Farmerville or Community Baptist Church in West Monroe.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, June 20, 2016 at Griffin 
Funeral Home in West Monroe.
