HERBERT J. JORDAN

Funeral services for Herbert J. Jordan, 92 of Downsville, LA will be held at 
2:00 PM, Thursday, February 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church Calhoun, LA. Bro. 
Neil Everett will be officiating. Interment to follow at Pleasant Valley 
Cemetery, Downsville, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home West 
Monroe.

Mr. Jordan was born July 14, 1919 in Union Parish, LA and passed away January 
30, 2012 in Downsville, LA. He was a retired store owner and Missouri-Pacific 
railroad worker. Mr. Jordan was a member of First Baptist Church in Calhoun 
and was a veteran of the United States Army Medical Corps serving in World War 
II. He loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Jordan is survived by his wife of 64 years Mildred Jordan; son, Jerry 
Jordan and wife Ernestine; granddaughters Melissa Kelley and husband Dennis 
and Melanie Copeland and husband Mark; great grandchildren, Sean Kelley, 
Matthew Copeland, Joshua Copeland, Wesley Copeland; great-great grandchildren, 
Layne Kelley and Braylon Copeland.

Pallbearers will be Richard Tedeton, Daven Tedeton, Joshua Copeland, Wesley 
Copeland, Doug Hudgens and Kerry Jordan.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at First Baptist 
Church Calhoun.

 In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the 
First Baptist Church Building Fund, Calhoun, LA.
