PAULINE M. JOWERS

Funeral Services for Pauline M. Jowers, 96, of Houston, TX and formerly of West 
Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00AM Monday, July 22, 2013 in the chapel of 
Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Rankin officiating. Interment will be 
held in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Hebert, LA.Pauline M. Jowers was 
born in Hebert, LA on January 9, 1917 and passed away in Houston, TX on July 
19, 2013. She was a former hairdresser. Pauline was a member of Bethany Baptist 
Church and the West Ouachita Senior Citizens Center. She loved quilting, 
crocheting, and working in her yard. She is preceded in death by her husband, 
Alvie L. Jowers; parents, Lawrence Maxwell and Jewel Maxwell; sisters, LaFreda 
Crow and Barbara Brandin; and brothers, Matthew Maxwell, Clark Maxwell, Huey 
Maxwell, and Kelly Maxwell.Pauline is survived by her daughter, Alva Elizabeth 
Hays and husband, Jack; 4 grandchildren, Keith Fortner, Paul Fortner, Paula 
Schwartz, and Allison Guidry all of the Houston, TX area; 7 great-grandchildren 
and 2 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Peters of Phoenix, AZ, Colleen 
Wilks of Hebert, LA, and Margaret Wyatt of Prattville, AL; and many nieces and 
nephews.Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Sunday, July 21, 2013 
at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
