BERNICE JOWERS

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Bernice Jowers, 94, of West 
Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, August 1, 2017, in the chapel 
of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waymond Warren officiating. 
Interment will follow in Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens Cemetery in West Monroe, 
LA.

Mrs. Jowers was born May 27, 1923, in Poolside, OK and passed away July 27, 
2017, at her home in West Monroe. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Raymond Jowers. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church. Early in her 
married life, Mrs. Jowers and her husband could be found working at their 
family grocery store. She spent many happy years going to play-days and rodeos 
with her family. She was so proud of all the trophies that her children won 
over the years and still has hundreds of them displayed in her home. Mrs. 
Jowers also enjoyed quilting and playing canasta with her church friends. Most 
importantly, she adored all of her children, grandchildren, and great 
grandchildren. She loved watching them participate in their extra-curricular 
activities.

Survivors include her children, Linda Robertson and husband Todd of 
Farmerville, LA, BrendaWilson and husband Mike of West Monroe, Debbie Jones and 
husband Duane of West Monroe, Dee Dee Reynolds and husband Travis of West 
Monroe, and David Jowers of Calhoun, LA; ten grandchildren; fifteen great 
grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Whitehead; and numerous nieces, nephews and 
friends.

Pallbearers will be Randall Robertson, Jesse Randall, Michael Jowers, Scott 
Murry, Paul Costello and Bodie Costello.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Monday, July 31, 2017, 
at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
