HERBERT JONES

TALLULAH - Funeral services for Herbert Jones, 75, of Tallulah, were at 3p.m today
in the chapel of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah with the Rev. Crawford Williams
and Father Joe Treadwell officiating.

Burial was in Silver Cross Cemetery for Mr. Jones who died early Wednesday in Mercy
Medical Center at Vicksburg, Miss after a lengthy illness.

A native of Terry, Miss, Mr. Jones had resided in Madison Parish for 55 years. He
was a retired merchant and salesman, and a member of the First Baptist Church of
Tallulah.

Survivors included his wife, Ida Mae Jones of Tallulah; two sons, T.H. Jones Jr of
Jackson, Miss. and Bill Jones of Dallas, Tex; one daughter, Mrs. Jack Jones of Fort
Worth, Tex; one sister, Mrs. W.C. Moseley of Vidalia; one brother, L.D. Jones of New
Orleans; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Pallbearers were Jack Bowden, Jimmy Garrett, Barton Sevier, Jim Sevier, Lewis
Buckner and J.O. Pemberton
