DAVID J. KALUZNY

Born August 20, 1930, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2014, at 1:20 p.m. 
surrounded by his family.

Survived by his wife, Dorothy (Ober) Wiesemann Kaluzny, sisters Judith 
Kaluzny, Elizabeth Marrone, and Kathyrn Kaluzny.

Proceeded in death by his parents Joseph Kaluzny and Annette (Milavec) 
Kaluzny, and his brothers Steven Kaluzny, Paul Kaluzny and Mark Kaluzny.

Also surviving are his children David, II, (Dawn), Minooka, IL; Stephen 
(Susan), Seattle, WA; George (Judith), Morris, IL; John (Colleen); Yakima, WA; 
Martha Henning (Greg), Sycamore, IL; Sarah Kaluzny-Petroff, Waukesha, WI; 
Peter (Laura), Morris, IL; Joseph (Nancy), DePere, WI; Robert (Kim), 
Braidwood, IL; Bridget (Henry) Kim, San Diego, CA; Robert (Kathy) Wiesemann, 
Decatur, IL; Eric (Denise) Wiesemann, Monroe, LA; Carol (Greg) Matre, 
Naperville, IL; Joseph Wiesemann, Burr Ridge, IL.

Adoring grandfather to 42 and loving great grandfather to 26 beautiful 
children.

A graduate of Fond du Lac High School and Marquette University, member of 
Alpha Kappa Psi Fraternity; U.S. Army Korean War Finance Corps Veteran; plant 
manager at Inland Steel in Milwaukee, WI; President of Kaluzny Bros., Inc.; 
Past Member of Board of Directors of the National Renderers Association; Past 
President Will-Grundy Manufacturers Association, Member of the National 
Association of Engineers, 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus Council 
382; Food, Beverage, and Equipment Executives (Past President and Sergeant at 
Arms); Member of the Chicago Midwest Meat Association; member of St. Paul the 
Apostle Parish and co-founder of its Home and School Association; passionate 
fisherman and hunter of large and small game; head of the Kaluzny Family Deer 
Camp for 42 years; past President of Oakwood Estates in Joliet, IL; golf 
junkie (Medicare Swingers); active member and supporter of the Rocky Mountain 
Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Pheasants Forever, Delta Waterfowl, and 
Whitetails Unlimited.

The family thanks the wonderful staff at the Joliet Hospice for their 
phenomenal care of David and support of the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul the Apostle Education 
Fund or the Joliet Hospice.

A Memorial Mass for David J. Kaluzny will be held, Monday April 14, 2013 at 
10:00 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment Abraham Lincoln 
National Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday April 13, 2014 from 1:00 
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.
