THELBERT MARZELLE KELLEY Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home Ruston, LA Funeral services for Mr. Thelbert Marzelle Kelley, age 77 of Bernice, will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Pisgah Baptist Church in Bernice with Bro. Jerry Dark and Bro. Jeff Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Bernice under the direction of Owens Memorial Chapel Funeral Home of Ruston. Mr. Kelley was born July 25, 1931 to Corbett Marzelle Kelley and Annie Lee Martindale Kelley. He died December 7, 2008. He was a life time member of the Pisgan Baptist Church. In his spare time, he enjoyed wood working, making birdhouses, furniture, spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren's ballgames. Mr. Kelley retired from Greywolf Oilfield Services and was a veteran of the US Army. Mr. Kelley was affectionately known as "Jelly" to his friends in Bernice and as "Moose" to his friends in the oilfield. Mr. Kelly is survived by his wife of 52 years: Sue Fuller Kelley, children: Bobbie Sue Morrow of Farmerville, Vickie Lynn and husband Phillip Thomas of Lillie, Tim Kelley and wife Becky of Farmerville, Jerry Marzelle Kelley of Bernice and Tammy and husband Lance Overstreet of Bernice; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister: Darlene Grafton of Bernice; one brother: Chuck Kelley of Bernice as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children: Debra Lee Kelley and Thelbert M. Kelley, Jr.; son-in-law George Thomas and a grandson Michael Blake Doolittle. Pallbearers will be Caleb Kelley, Dustin Ates, Keith Kelley, Jr., Kenneth Kelley, Jr., Terry Kelley, Mike Grafton, Randy Grafton and Joe Kelley. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Kelley, Curtis Batten, Chris Burnham, John Brantley and Chester McCallum.
