KELLY Funeral services for Patricia J. Kelly, 77, of Newellton, LA will be held Saturday, Jaunary 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Newellton Chapel Baptist Church in Newellton with Rev. Dennis Redden, Sr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Union Cemetery in Newellton under the directions of Concordia Funeral Home of Ferriday, LA. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the church and Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. to service time at the church. Delta Sigma Theta Sorority ceremonies will be performed at 12:00 noon. Mrs. Kelly, daughter of Lawrence and Selezie Jackson Johnson was born March 17, 1935 in New Orleans, LA and died January 1, 2013 at River Regional Medical Center in Vicksburg, MS. She was a retired educator for Tensas Parish School System; member of the Tensas Parish Retired Teachers Association; Tensas Parish Library Board; member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority; Southern University Alumni Federation; member of the H. A. Dillion Southern University Alumni Chapter and a member of Newellton Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her husband, James Kelly, Sr. of Newellton; two sons, James Kelly, Jr.and his wife, LaKeiche of Lake Charles, LA; Dwayne Kelly and his wife, Tasha of Canton, MI; one daughter, Nannette Kelly of Memphis, TN; four sisters, Joy Washington and her husband, Clarence, of Roosevelt, NY; Beryl Wingate of New Orleans, LA; Naomi Rumbolt and her husband, Derrick, of Evanston, IL; Mona Gilliano of Chicago, IL. She was blessed with five grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Lawrence Johnson.
