SHIRLEY ANNE THOMPSON KEMP


Funeral services for Shirley Anne Thompson Kemp, age 77, a retired bookkeeper 
of Lake Providence, Louisiana, will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, January 25, 2015 
at Lakeside Baptist Church in Lake Providence, Louisiana.

Reverend Mark Brown will officiate.

Interment will follow in the Providence Memorial Cemetery in Lake Providence.

Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Lake Providence.

Mrs. Kemp passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Glenwood Regional Medical 
Center in West Monroe, Louisiana.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Marvin Kemp; her parents, James 
Edgar Thompson and Mamie Grace Evans Thompson; brother, William Franklin 
Thompson and brother, Douglas Thompson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Rev. Kenneth King of 
Transylvania, Louisiana; nephew and his wife, Jackie and Nancy Thompson of 
Hazelhurst, Mississipi; niece, Connie Linkenhoker of Seabrook, Texas; nephew, 
Marvin Fowler of Deer Park, Texas; nephew, Keith Fowler of Seabrook, Texas; 
nephew, Kevin Fowler of Seabrook, Texas; great niece, Jennifer Walker of 
Jackson, Mississippi; great niece, AliceClaire Scott of Jackson, Mississippi; 
and great great niece, Mary Hampton Walker of Jackson, Mississippi.

Pallbearers are: Keven King, Jimmy Gunter, Kevin Kovac, Larry Gibson, Dean 
Shelton, and Carlo Sciara.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 24, 2015 between the hours of 
5 to 8 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Lake Providence, Louisiana.
