KENDALL William Samuel Kendall, Jr. was born on January 4, 1930 and passed away on A April 14, 2017 after a brief illness with cancer. He was married to the late Sunshine Hutchins Kendall. Mr. Kendall is survived by one daughter, Karman Kendall Welker; son, Kevin Kendall; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Kendall graduated from Northeast State College with a Bachelor's degree in Physics. He worked for NASA at Cape Canaveral, FL on the Apollo program for several years, and was later transferred to Manned Space Kraft Center and worked directly for ASPD. He left NASA and went to work in the aero-space indu industry; he worked in defense weapons for Army, Navy, and Air Force. Upon retirement he moved back to West Monroe. He was a member of Fair Park Ba Baptist Church where he served as an Ordained Deacon. He was one of the first em employees for Home Depot when they opened. He worked for them for 10 years and re retired in June 2007. A special thank you to Hospice Compassus and staff and also to Dr. Charles Morgan a Morgan and his staff. Donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A memorial servic service will be held at a later date.
