KILPATRICK Winifred M. Kilpatrick, 96, passed away in Mesquite, TX April 8, 2014. Survived by son Ted Kilpatrick and daughter-in-law Ann Kilpatrick, extended family includes Lynda Humble, Dora Lee Kilpatrick, Sally Cooper, Susan Venable, many great and great-great nephews and nieces. Elvin Kilpatrick, husband of 60 years, preceded her in death. Born September 2, 1917, in Saratoga, MS, Winifred lived in Monroe from 1935 until she moved with her husband in 1999 to The Waterford retirement home in Mesquite to be near Ted and Ann. A 1939 Louisiana Tech graduate, she taught first grade for 34 years at Georgia Tucker and Lexington schools. She was a member of Monroe's First United Methodist Church. A graveside service will be held at the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery Friday, April 18, 2014, at 3:00 PM.
