Funeral Services for Mrs. Gertrude S. King, 87, of West Monroe, LA will be 2:00 
PM Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West 
Monroe with Rev. Rick Crandall officiating. Interment will be in Riverview 
Cemetery Monroe, LA.

Mrs. King was born February 7, 1921 in Robeline, LA and passed away on February 
4, 2009 in West Monroe, LA. She was a retired nurse from St. Francis Medical 
Center and enjoyed caring for other people. Mrs. King retired from nursing to 
take care of her mother and father in their last years. Her hobbies were her 
grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sons, Thomas Ralph Swenk and Joe I. 
Swenk; and a brother and sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Kent and husband Jack; son, Roy Swenk and 
wife Pat; daughter-in-law, Janis Swenk; sister, Billie House and Husband Beau 
of Lake Charles, LA.; brother, John Winn and wife Doris of Robeline, LA; 
thirteen grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren, nieces, 
nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Kent, Jay Kent, Jack Kent Jr., John Kent, Josh 
Pearce, Logan Pearce, Parker Pearce, and Brandon Kent,

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2009 at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
