Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA. Jerry Lynn King was born September 24, 1953, and passed away August 15, 2017, surrounded by his family, after a valiant battle with a lengthy illness. He retired from Graphic Packaging after 40 years of service. Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. Baseball was his passion, and as an avid Cubs fan, he was overjoyed to see them win the World Series. He was a loving and compassionate man, a friend to everyone and he was always there for anyone in need. Jerry was preceded in death by his loving daughter, Kelly King; grandson, Riley Stevens; his parents, Sidney and Juanita King; two brothers, Larry and Gary King; and sister, Lynette King. He leaves behind a beautiful legacy in his children, Karen Stevens and husband Chip, Jason King and wife Katie and Matt Nappier and wife Malissa. He also leaves his adored grandchildren, Kendall Stevens, Jakob Hearne, Ioan and Wrynn King, and Moriyah, Mayah and Mikaylah Nappier. Pallbearers will be Darrell Arrant, Charles Humphries, Donald Clark, David Jordan, Pete Gilbert and Dewayne Foster. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Mr. King's family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Barron and staff at Oncology Associates and to Louisiana Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
