He passed away in Lake Charles in a local care facility. Barry was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana on September 18, 1989. He lived in Sulphur, Louisiana until the age of 5. Barry has lived in West Monroe, Louisiana for the past 13 years where he was a 2008 graduate of West Monroe High School. He was attending the Career Technical College where he was studying to be a radiology technician in Monroe at the time of his accident. Barry attended Family Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, golf, and skateboarding. During his teenage years he was an avid skateboarder and was a member of a skateboarding team in Monroe, Louisiana. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Miller Kirby of West Monroe, LA, his father, Benjamin Dean Kirby and his wife Lori of Calhoun, LA, sister, Bridget (Sissy) Allen and husband Justin of West Monroe, LA, two step sisters, Briana Tyler of West Monroe, LA and Larke Tyler of Calhoun, LA, grandparents, Glen and Janette Miller, grandmother, Eva Kirby, Lake Charles, LA. Barry is preceded in death by his grandfather Thomas Kirby. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA at the gazebo. Pastor Charles Dupree will officiate. Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles, LA.
