Terry Mims and Rev. Tom McCurley officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Knight went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 24, 2009, after a brief illness. She was a lifelong homemaker and retired from Wal-Mart in West Monroe. She was also a member of Emanuel Baptist Church for 42 years where she has taught Sunday school to hundreds of young children over the years. She has touched so many with her bright smile and selfless approach to life. She will be missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Hazel Clark Brown; her sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Donzell Flynn; her father-in-law, Emmitt Knight; and her nephews, Brian Knight and Kelly Putnam. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Timothy Knight; her son, Keith Knight; her son, Paul Knight and his wife Lanette; four grandchildren, Amber, Beth Ann, Silas, and Sarah; her sisters, Wilma Putnam and Ardith Weber; her brother, Kenneth Brown; her mother-in-law,Kathryn Knight; and her brother-in- law and sister-in-law, Terry and Barbara Knight. Pallbearers will be Jay Ellerman, Larry Knight, Ricky Bacle, Chris Tolbird, Doug Schmitz, and Russ Buntyn. Honorary pallbearers will be Deacons Jimmy Vallery, Huey Jinks, Charles Dean, Carl McBeth, O. C. Watson, and Orville Taylor. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, April 27, 2009, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
