Don James officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home West Monroe. Visitation will be from 5:00pm until 8:00pm Friday, October 9, 2015 at the church and 10:00am until time of service Saturday at the church. Mrs. Knighten was born September 8, 1929 in Cohay, MS and passed from this life on October 7, 2015 in West Monroe, LA at the age of 86. She was a member of Whites Ferry Road Church of Christ in West Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Henry Meeks Ivey and Nettie Eugene Ivey; her husband, Carl B. Knighten, Sr.; and her brothers & sisters and in-laws. Survivors include three daughters, Annette Herrington (Eddie), Tonia Williamson (Chet), Debbi Culpepper (Phillip); one son, Carl B. Knighten, Jr., (Aliece) who she referred to as "Manzy"; 18 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Geraldine Miller; best friend & sister-in-law, Pearl Knighten; brother- in-law, Ed Knighten; sister-in-laws, Gloria Self & Bobbie Knighten; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris McMillan, Daniel Herrington, Chase McMillan, Tyler Herrington, Justin Herrington, Jamey Coon, Justin Garner, Trey Knighten. Honorary pallbearers will be Mason & Dillon Williamson. The family would like to extend a heartwarming thank you to Debra McDowell, Trey Warren, Cynthia Norsworthy and the staff of the West Monroe Guest House.
