JUDITH GALE SAXON KNOWLES Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Funeral Services for Mrs. Judith Gale Saxon Knowles, 69, of Downsville, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 7, 2009 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Bro. Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt, Zion Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Mrs. Knowles was born on April 21, 1939 and passed away on February 4, 2009 at the Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, LA after a lengthy illness. Judy was married to her loving and devoted husband, George David Knowles, and they were blessed with three children. Her husband was in the Navy and they traveled extensively for 20 years. She worked in banking for many years serving as Vice President and Manager of the Loan Department and also as a Notary. She will be missed and remembered as a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many. Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Elinor Rebecca Harden Saxon and Cleve H. (Jack) Saxon Sr. Survivors include her beloved husband of 52 years, George David Knowles; children, David W. Knowles and wife Marion Kay, Richard D. Knowles and wife Nancy and Laurie Ann Knowles Price and husband Ricky. Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Linda Halley, Mildred Frost, Jackie Perritt, Cheryl Hood, Mary Butler and Vicki Cummings; brothers, Cleve Saxon Jr., and Robert Saxon and a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Andrew Price, Josh Knowles, Guy Halley, Cleve Saxon III., Ron Butler and Chad Frost. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, February 6, 2009 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 584 Calhoun, LA 71225. The family would like to give a special thanks to Valeri and June with Louisiana Extended Care Hospital, you were a blessing in a time of need.
