GEORGE KNOWLES

Funeral Service for Mr. George "David" Knowles, will be 11:00 AM Monday, 
February 2, 2015 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home in West Monroe. 
Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun.

Mr. Knowles died January 30, 2015 after battling cancer at the age of 75. Mr. 
Knowles was born February 26, 1939. He retired after 22 years of distinguished 
service as a Master Chief in the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Sue Griggs Knowles, son, Richard D. Knowles 
and Nancy Knowles of Benton, LA, daughter Laurie A. Knowles Price and Ricky 
Price of Prairieville, LA, brother, Rodney L. Knowles and Diane Knowles of 
Calhoun LA, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death 
by his wife of 52 years, Judith G. Saxon Knowles, daughter, Darlene Knowles and 
son, David Wade Knowles. Pallbearers will be Andrew Price, Gregory Price, 
Joshua Knowles, William (Bill) Lee, Thomas Littleton and Gary W. Neal.
