JAMES PETER KOVATA

James Peter Kovata, 44, of New Orleans, Louisiana died Wednesday, May 7, 2014.

He was born to June, 25, 1969, in Monroe, Louisiana. James graduated from St 
Fredrick High School and attended Loyola University of New Orleans where he 
received an undergraduate degree and his juris choctorite. Jimmy practiced 
health care law in New Orleans for 20 plus years. Jimmy loved music. He also 
loved history and travel. Combining the two, he and Paul took many trips 
together exploring the world.

James is survived by his parents: Peter and Maria Kovata of McKinney TX; Sister 
Jenny Kovata- Armstrong and Brother in-law Peter Armstrong of Frisco TX, his 
partner Paul Voorhies of New Orleans, LA, along with many cousins and Aunt 
Milica Ilievska in Bitola, Macedonia.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the 
charity of your choice .

A viewing will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Saturday, May 10, 2014, at 
Mulhearn Funeral Home on Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA. Funeral service will be 
held Sunday, May 11, 2014, at 2:00PM in the chapel at the funeral home with Rev. 
Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will be in Ridgeview Memorial Park 
Cemetery in Allen, TX.
