JOSEPH D. LADART SR. Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA Memorial Services for Mr. Joseph D. LaDart Sr., 83, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 25, 2008, at the St. Paschal's Catholic Church with Rev. Frank Coens officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA. Mr. LaDart was born on November 7, 1925 and passed away on November 22, 2008 in West Monroe, LA. He was a member of the St. Paschal's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus. Mr. LaDart volunteered in many different capacities to many catholic churches throughout his life. He was a United States Army Veteran and Disabled POW of WWII, where he served in Germany. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star for his duty during this time. He was a prankster who loved spending time with his family. Mr. LaDart also loved gardening, fishing and cooking for the family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe D. and Virginia LaDart; brothers, Louis LaDart and Sam LaDart; and by his sister, Lorethia Monaco. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Vaccaro Dispenza LaDart; children, Cheryl LaDart, Pat LaDart Kellogg, Joseph D. LaDart, Jr.; five step-children, George, Sam, James, Chris, and Vince Dispenza; 15 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and one on the way; special friends, Ivory Lewis and Mary and Rudy Hernandez; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time Tuesday at the church. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Paschal's Catholic Church Building Fund.
