RICHARD HARVEY LAIRD 

Kilpatrick Funeral Home West Monroe, LA . 

Funeral services for Richard Harvey Laird, 72, will be held at 10:00 AM, 
Thursday, March 4, 2010 at St. Mark's United Methodist Church with Rev. 
Lysbeth Cockrell officiating. Interment will follow at Gwin Memorial Cemetery 
in Mangham, LA under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, 
LA. Mr. Laird was born August 19, 1937 in Mangham, LA and passed away February 
28, 2010 in West Monroe, LA. He was preceded in death by parents; Hiram G. 
Laird and Mary Thornton Laird Harvey; brothers; Bobby K. Laird and William E. 
Laird; and sister, Betty Anne Dorris. He was a member of St. Mark's United 
Methodist Church and attended Stone Fellowship Sunday School Class. A retired 
wholesale salesman, Mr. Laird served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Laird 
was survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty Jo Looney Laird; daughters, Rachel 
Laird, Rebecca Laird DuBos; son, Rick Laird; 4 grandchildren: Shelby and Ben 
DuBos, Jonathan and Bailey Laird. Also to cherish his memory are his 
children's spouses: Mickey DuBos and Amy Laird whom Richard claimed as his own 
children. Pallbearers will be Steve Farmer, Rob Harris, Joey Jarrette, Gene 
Waalk, Steve Stephenson and Jack Alexander. Honorary pallbearers will be 
members of Stone Fellowship Sunday School Class. In lieu of flowers memorials 
may be made to St. Mark's United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 
Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kilpatrick Funeral Home, West Monroe, 
LA.
