Edmund Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Lane passed away Saturday, January 03, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, employed by Spats Drugs for forty-seven years, an avid bowler for fifty- two years, past president of Monroe Women's Bowling Association, and held offices in numerous bowling leagues. She was also 1st Vice President of USBC-LA Women's Bowling Associ ation. Mrs. Lane was inducted into the Louisiana USBC- LWBA Hall of Fame in 2008. She loved bream fishing and will be missed by many friends who attended her annual Christmas parties. Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents, Fate M. and Bertha Heath Cassady; and brother, Roy Cassady. Survivors include her husband of fifty-two plus years, Charles W. Lane; one daughter, Debbie Adams and husband James of Monroe; two sisters, Shirley Johnson of Kentucky, and Barbara Cassady of Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Cassady Lane Adams, and James R. "Chip" Adams, II; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Lavelle Ivy, H. J. (Frenchie) DeMers, Bill Cooper, Charles Baker, Toby McKown, and Christopher DeMers. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 P..M until 7:00 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
